Groups Activities for Seniors

my dad is in his early 70s and got divorced a few years ago. it has been an extremely hard transition for him, he is really struggling with loneliness and isolation. he is on the west side in alief. does anyone know of any center with events or if there is a list of senior groups and activities i could give him to consider? there is an alief center but i didn't find any resources that listed social events.
