Group Buy dumbells in Houston.

I have been trying to buy dumbbell weights for a while. I am looking to buy a set of 5's through 50's. Based on what the flippers and retailers want I should be paying 2 to 3 dollars a pound for that new or used. 5's through 50's would be $1100 at the least price and $1650 at the max. I have been looking into what it would cost to import the same weight sets in a bulk shipping container and based on my initial projections, I think I can bring them in sub 1 dollar a pound. Here is my idea. I would like to find a reputable importer I can buy a range of dumbbell weights from 5 to 100 lbs. I will hire an import broker to oversee documentation and checking references of exporter so that there are no rookie mistakes. Based on the size of what I want to order, I am thinking that all I need is 80 more people that want to order the same thing. My initial estimate for this would be .75/lb cost for material and freight to port, .07/lb for freight to Houston distribution from the port. .02/lb for import brokers fee. I am not sure what insurance would cost but it should be minimal. Maybe 5% of the purchase price. Do you think this would be an interesting proposition for anyone here in Houston. I am estimating that they should deliver to a distribution point in Houston between 94 and 1.04 a lb means that the total cost for the kind of set I was looking at would be $517 at the least and $572 at the high end.
