Greystar is the WORST
I've lived at a Greystar property for two years now and it's both the worst and most expensive ($1420+ 1 bedroom) place I've ever lived.
-
Both summers I've had a massive roach problem. I'd find 1-2 roaches almost every day during the summer months. Imagine jumping in the shower and finding yourself face to face with a 2 inch roach climbing up your shower curtain.

This past summer I spent over a week without AC while it was 100° outside. My place was uninhabitable and I had to make my own arrangements to get through the week. I was not offered a single thing by Greystar. I was promised "compensation" but you can guess how that turned out.

The property is forcing that godawful scam Fetch service on us at the cost of $20/month. We are required to use it. Go look up Fetch on any big city's subreddit and you will find not one good thing said about it.

Right after I re-signed my lease, a family of FOUR moved into the ONE BEDROOM unit above me. It doesn't take a genius to know this is going to cause problems, and it violates the property's own terms laid out in the lease contract — limit three residents in a one bedroom unit. For the last year, I have suffered through nonstop banging, stomping, running, screaming, and doing laundry and running the dishwasher late at night during the week. It literally sounds like I live under a busy gym for hours and hours per day. They also set off their fire alarms (often repeatedly) almost every single day. Any guesses to what in the f**k they're doing?
The coup de grâce….
- My apartment was burglarized while I was out of town for Christmas. They stole my employer's laptop, my passport, ssn cards, blank checks, credit cards, spare car keys, and spare apartment and mailbox keys. While I won't blame this squarely on Greystar, the thief managed to get in my apartment without force (how?); over the summer Greystar removed the 24 hour security officer because they're cheap fucks, and they also don't have any cameras in the garages or breezeways.
If you're thinking about it…don't. I am moving out next month and counting down the days.
