Great to see 2020 draft class producing

It's been great seeing Jonathan Greenard and Ross Blacklock emerge as impact players early on in the season.

Heading into the season, the 2020 draft was looking like a complete bust and I assumed that we'd need to re-build our defense essentially from scratch after this season. We seemed almost entirely devoid of young talent on the roster and I figured we would need 2 draft classes and a bunch of free agent signings before having a good defense, but Greenard, Blacklock and a few of the veterans added to the roster are accelerating our rebuild timeline.

Obviously we're a long ways away from the offseason, but we might be in a pretty good spot at DT and OLB/pass rusher next year. If we can extend Justin Reid/Jacob Martin, we'll cut Whitney Mercilus and will only have glaring weaknesses at DE, CB, G and WR.

Its huge for the future outlook of our team that cheap players like Blacklock/Greenard (and to some extent Omenihu) are playing at a high-level right now. With the draft picks we're hoarding we're going to interject a ton of young talent onto the roster next year and the rookies aren't going to need to immediately become starters. We're also going have a S**T TON of cap space and can sign a few impact free agents if we want. If we get multiple early picks in a Deshaun Watson deal we'll be in a tremendous position to rapidly rebuild
