Graduate Student in Houston looking for anime, convention and cosplay friends! (I want to get into cosplay!)

Hi everyone. I've recently decided to get into cosplay and am looking for cosplay friends/groups in Houston! I recently went to Anime Matsuri by myself, my first convention in over 10 years, and I had a blast seeing all the awesome cosplay. While I absolutely love all cosplay, I especially like the big bulky cosplays like Gundam suits and what not. I'm an experimentalist who designs and builds his own components using 3D modeling and in my spare time I have been theorizing how to make a cosplay of Svarog from Honkai Star Rail using foam supported by interlocking printed 3D plastic parts. However this is obviously a complex project idea and probably a stupid idea for a beginner project but I still want to do it along with many more crazy schemes! (i'll also probably need to figure out how to use stilts without breaking both my legs lol) If you share any of my interests then hit me up! Also if you know of any cosplay groups in Houston that you can point me to then that works too! I'd like to go to more conventions across the US as well!
