Gov. Greg Abbott outlines how hurricane evacuation will work amid COVID-19 pandemic

While social distancing practices will be in place and personal protective equipment will be available at the evacuation centers, Abbott also encouraged families to consider evacuating to hotel and motel rooms farther inland as they offer more privacy and less potential exposure to COVID-19.
