Good restaurants near IAH airport

So my long distance partner from Hong Kong is coming to visit me for a month and is landing in a few days. I am looking for somewhere for us to eat right after picking them up near the airport.

They are coming from Hong Kong so no asian food recommendations please. Last time they visited they landed in Austin and we went to a nice food truck spot and it worked well, but I am game for most anything. Only major thing is we are not looking for a "high class" expensive location.

What would be a good first impression of Houston in y'alls opinion for a foreigner? and thank you for your time.
