Good people of H-town

I am coming in Saturday for the CFB Championship Game on Monday at NRG w a buddy from college, staying near the Galleria. We are both 51 like to have a good drink live music sports and nature. In addition to a pep rally and maybe a concert we are planning on going to get some bbq (Truth BBQ looks good) and also the Houston zoo on Sunday. We could use a good Tex Mex place or other can’t miss restaurant/ bar/attraction and maybe a good place to see live blues or country/southern rock music on Sat/sun. What should we not miss in Houston? Thanks y’all
