Good non-barbecue Korean?

Moved here from a location that had almost no Asian food and excitedly went to Korea House on a recommendation and its good online ratings.

The bibimbap was cold, served in a cold bowl, had a fried cooked-all-the-way-through egg on top, and cold chopped lettuce in it. Even the banchan was rather flavorless.

So far we’ve had great Vietnamese and Chinese so I refuse to believe that in this supposed foodie mecca and most international city of two million that this can be typical Korean, so… any recs?
