Good authentic shawarma and Texas BBQ restaurants ?

I am visiting Houston after a year long stay in the upper Midwest and I absolutely miss Shawerma, any recommendations?

Also any restuarants that are worth visiting for that authentic taxes BBQ I hear so much about?
