Giving some love to my favorite Mexican restaurant

Just wanted to let people know about my favorite Mexican restaurant in Houston, Puebla’s Mexican Kitchen off North Main in the Heights.

$2 tacos, $5 veggie/$7 meat burritos, $1.50 cinnamon coffees, their prices are really good. And the food is classic delicious Mexican food.

I don’t see them mentioned on here as often as some of the other classic chains like Ninfa’s, Pappasito’s, Lupe Tortilla, or even some trucks like Taco Tierra Caliente (which is also great)

They do have online ordering which I think is pretty hidden but here’s the link (usual wait times about 15-20 minutes or so)

Personal favorites are the chicken burrito with avocado or the migas!

Note they’re only open for breakfast and lunch until 3 and closed on Sundays.

Also they have been quite good during COVID. They remained closed at the start, reopened after a few months with dividers between all the tables at a bit of a reduced capacity and doing temp checks. Also, an outdoor patio opened up if that’s your vibe. And they are still requiring masks after the mandate ends!
