Gettoria – Just an observation
Went to the Galleria yesterday to hit up the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and I have to admit, the Galleria is going downhill. I've shopped at that mall since the 80's. People used to get dressed up and go for the day. Shop, dine and even see a movie when there were theatres in the mall. Nowadays, the food court is fairly vile and many restaurants have closed. Walking in the mall, my daughter and I were approached by a young man selling jewelry out of a plain paper bag. It was obvious the items were stolen with price tags attached from various stores. We saw no security other then at a few high end retailers. For the most part, we felt safe but definitely a different vibe. Houston has changed and it just makes me sad.
