Gender Counselors Besides Montrose Center?

I've been on a waitlist for a year at the Montrose Center, and when I called them a few days ago, the lady who picked up said "it's gonna be a long time" before I'll be able to see someone.

Of course I've done some introspection myself, but I'd like to run some things through with a professional instead of going straight to an informed-consent provider.

I've looked around for therapists on PsychologyToday but it's hard to tell if gender counseling is something they really specialize in or if they're just listing things to get clients in the door.

Can anyone recommend counselors they've had good experiences with?

Currently living in Katy but willing to drive downtown if necessary.
