Padres	Lamet has made three relief appearances before his return to the rotation. It's unclear how much leash he'll be given, as the Padres have treated him with caution this year, but Lamet's three innings and 41 pitches on Saturday were both season highs.
Astros	Valdez is scheduled to be activated and make his first start of 2021. The lefty, who fractured his left ring finger on March 2, made two rehab starts at Triple-A Sugar Land, throwing four scoreless innings on 54 pitches on Sunday.
