Gallery Furniture reviews on Google Maps?

I use google map reviews for everything – dining, travel, stores, etc – and was encouraged to see Gallery Furniture with a 4.9 rating….but then i started reading all of the recent reviews and a many were 1 or 2 stars. And all very detailed/authentic. This goes back for almost a year. So is the rating not accurate? Or does Google not include recent reviews in the calculation? The whole thing is weird. And I honestly don’t know if GF is a good spot now.
