Galleria Oaks – Any advice/thoughts on the living situation here (or other places)?

Hello! I am looking to move to Houston in May of 2023 and apartment searching has been a nightmare with nearly every affordable apartment ($1200 budget) having horrible reviews. I am just looking for a safe place to live with okay/decent maintenance services. I saw that galleria oaks has mostly good reviews but the latest review was from a year ago. Does anyone have any experience living here or advice? If not, are there any apartments you would recommend that would be a decent commute to the medical center and safe to live?
