From up north, very unsure of Houston, would appreciate help on specific questions!

So I'm in healthcare and considering a position in Houston for obvious reasons. I'm looking all over the midwest and south, mostly places with big hospitals. I'm from Wisconsin originally but I hate cold weather, snow, and clouds. (Small detail – weirdly I need it cold at night to sleep at all , like 65F).

I like more laid back, quieter living, don't need tons to do all the time. I like hiking, nice scenery.

I guess I'm trying to figure out if living in Houston would be a dealbreaker for me despite the appeal of the medical center. Anybody else move from farther North and regret it? How miserable is the weather? The flatness?
