Fresh Moody Center renderings unveiled as new arena, concert venue breaks ground at UT
Austin’s next big sports and entertainment venue is about to begin construction.
The University of Texas at Austin hosted a Dec. 3 groundbreaking event for the Moody Center, the next University of Texas basketball arena and major events venue. The Moody Center got its name in honor of a $130 million grant to the school from the Galveston-based Moody Foundation announced last month. That was the single largest gift from a foundation in school history.
