FREE Film Screening & Discussion: Missing in Brooks County

Join the Houston Climate Justice Museum at their East End location 3308 Garrow St. Houston, TX 77003 for a special screening of Missing in Brooks County, a documentary that offers an in-depth narrative on the nation's silent mass disaster in South Texas and the work of humanitarians and scientists to reunite the missing individuals with their families.

5:00 – 6:00 PM Screening of Missing in Brooks County
6:00 – 7:00 PM Discussion with Eddie Canales of the South Texas Human Rights Center, Michelle Chinos, Omar Roman, and Dr. Kate Spradley from Texas State University (Spanish translation available)

A reception will follow with food and drinks from Cochinita & Co.

The one-hour version of the film will be screened in English with Spanish subtitles. Afterward, there will be a discussion with the film participants listed above. Information will also be made available on local organizations that provide immigration services and how climate change is being recognized as a leading cause of displacement and migration.
