Frac sand, tech co. Carbo Ceramics exits bankruptcy with new ownership, CEO
Houston-based Carbo Ceramics Inc. has emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after less than four months.
Carbo produces sand proppant and similar products for oil and gas companies to use in hydraulic fracturing as well as technologies for use in the oil and gas industry. The company filed its bankruptcy case with Houston’s Southern District of Texas Bankruptcy Court on March 29 with about $65 million in debt, according to court documents.
