Fountains turned off?

I can't seem to find any published current info on fountains in Houston. We went to Gus and Lyndall Wortham to see the fountains, but they were not running. The fountains in Discovery Park weren't running. We had planned to go see the Wortham Building, and the Waterwall, but we haven't got a car while visiting and it's a sort of a trek by rail and bus in the heat to discover the fountains aren't turned on. Are they mostly off all summer? Turned off in the evening? Turned off to ease demand on the grid in the heat? Does anyone know? I figure if you live here the answer is probably obvious, but not to visitors. Thanks. 🙂
