Fort Bend ISD board names Bryan ISD leader as lone finalist for superintendent role

Fort Bend Independent School District’s board of trustees named Christie Whitbeck as its lone superintendent finalist on Aug. 26.

Whitbeck was chosen to replace Charles Dupre, who announced his resignation plans in November. His tenure will end on Aug. 31, the Fort Bend Star reported in April. His last day of work was June 10, and Diana Sayavedra, FBISD’s deputy superintendent, served as acting superintendent since June 11, per the Fort Bend Star.
