Former Browns fan in search of y’all’s side of the story…

Hey Texans fans, good Saturday evening and a huge congrats on the newly aquired picks for the future of your team, a move well played by the top brass of your organization. I'm not a Texans fan, but I genuinely hope it's brings some luck and talent in your team's direction.

A little background on myself before I ask my question…. Growing up in Texas, I was a loyal Houston Oilers fan(mainly because my two older brothers were Dallas Cowboy fans 😂). I thought Warren Moon hung the damn moon and his trade to the Vikings in 93 was devastating, but I stayed true to Houston, even after the franchise headed to Tennessee, I became a Titan fan(that was devastating too). My fandom for Tennessee, just wasn't the same and easily began to sour and I lost interest.

Around that time was when I started gaining more interest in my long time secondary team, The Cleveland Browns. I wasn't a huge fan, I just kinda kept an eye on them and pulled for them a little, sort of an underdog situation. The NFL had just left me behind and became background noise.

Over the years, college football became my love and living in Oklahoma by this time, in Sooner country, I root for the Oklahoma State Cowboys(again, underdog situation). Diehard OSU fan I became. And then, 25 years later, Baker Mayfield takes the field for Oklahoma University and I was hooked almost instantly. I never rooted for OU, but I wanted Baker Mayfield to succeed… And then the draft… And then the Cleveland Browns.

(sigh)….and then the Cleveland Browns! I was ecstatic. I then had a reason to come back to the NFL. I desperately hoped Baker and Cleveland would be a match made in heaven, but clearly it's not. And after getting aquatinted with the Browns fan base, I'm fine with it. While this was a real kick to the nuts, probably best for Baker to get out now. I can't say I'll necessarily follow Baker, but I feel Cleveland s**t on that kid, so with many other fans, I'm out.

My questions to you Texans fans is these…

  1. Did Cleveland make a mistake, or are they now the best weaponized team in the league?

  2. Is Watson as "elite" as people think he is?

Just tell the real scoop on Watson.
