For those who have solar and battery back up in their homes, is it worth it?

As titled, the black outs from Feb 2021 have had me thinking about getting solar and battery back up for my home. Is it worth it? Or should I just get out of state if things go badly enough? I been doing well at work but have no real sense how much it all costs and what tax breaks or other good deals I should look for. Thanks.
