For Those of You Familiar With "Sounds Good to Me" at Trader’s Village…..

….The owners Terry and Gary are planning to retire from the business in the next 6-9 months. They're trying to sell it, but the first couple offers fell through. If that doesn't work out, they will wind it down and go fishing.

For those who aren't familiar, this is a nationally (sometimes internationally) known used stereo store that Houston has been lucky to have for the past 20 years. It started off as one bay at TV and has steadily grown into 4 bays, enclosed, with AC, and a loyal customer base of all ages. https://www.soundsgoodtomehouston.com

Gary's low key and not big on hype. The complete antithesis to a typical sales guy. Thanks to him and his wife, more than a few people have gotten their first taste of quality sound for their music, found that final bucket list system for their later years, and all points in between. There are very few stores like it left in the country, and it really sucks to think we might lose such a well known one.

TBH, I'm really surprised it has not sold already. Their asking price is dirt cheap for what it is, their reputation is strong, and they've been profitable every one of those years.

Edit to add: I'm just a customer of theirs who caught wind of what's going on. I have no stake in their business.

Regardless, I know there are some of you around here who've talked about stopping by to have a look. Well, here's your warning! And they have already started gradually tapering down their inventory. So you might want to get on it, soon.
