Food tour recommendations

Hi everybody. I’ll be in Houston at the end of August for 3 days. I’m planning on doing a DIY food tour in Houston, heard some awesome things about the food. I’m likely going to stay somewhere close to Daikin Park, but that could possibly change. I won’t be able to rent a car due to my license not being old enough (just got it a couple of months ago) but could obviously take an Uber. I’m trying to not spend more than $300 on food during my stay and would love to get some variety of what Houston has to offer.
