Fishing Spot for Group of Young Boys (3rd grade) (west side)

Any good ideas for a place to take a group (about 10) of 8-9 year old boys fishing that would be easy to get in and out of, safe, not too crowded, and they would have some good luck catching? We are in Memorial area so trying to avoid a long drive to Galveston.
