First time visitor with questions about the roof

I'm coming to Houston this weekend for the first time with a group of friends and we're going to the games on Saturday and Sunday. I'm wondering what are the chances the roof will be closed for either game, especially Sunday as its a day game? We already have tickets in section 415 for Sat and section 111 row 31 for Sunday. I just want to make sure we prepare for the heat and potential sun since we're a bunch of pale Wisconsin folk.

Also for fun, any recommendations on what to do around the stadium before the games? We're staying in East Downtown and plan to walk to the games.
