First time traveler to Houston to attend game at Texans stadium, anyone kind enough to give me a rundown of what to expect?

Hey folks, I’m gonna be flying into houston for the first time to go and watch the national championship game at Texans Stadium on Monday. Now this is gonna be my first football game of any kind ever in attendance, as well as my first time in Texas, I’m not sure whether to rent a car when I get there or what. Is there public transportation that’s readily available to shuttle people to the stadium? Or will I be better off catching an uber/lyft over to the stadium? Are there places within walking distance of the stadium to pregame/bars?
