First time homebuyer grants in Houston?

Hi everyone! My wife and I are shopping for a house as we are expecting our 2nd child.

The housing market right now is so crazy that we can barely afford anything.

A friend told me that as a first time homebuyer, we qualify for certain grants. But as I am doing research, it just seems so overwhelming.

My wife has a decent job and my job is okay. We have 800+ credit score.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
