First Solo Trip to Houston

I am 28 F taking my first solo trip ever in May. I am going to see one of my favorite artists at the Bayou Music Center. I’m very nervous because I do not know the Houston area. Im also scared of traveling alone as a woman. Can anyone give me any tips or advice on what to expect in Houston? Thank you!

Also are there any hotels nearby that offer shuttle services? I’m going to be flying in from the airport.
