First plasma therapy approved for Houston Methodist COVID-19 patient
Houston Methodist Hospital was given the green light March 28 by the Food and Drug Administration to become the first academic medical center to transfuse donated plasma from a recovered COVID-19 patient into a critically ill patient, according to an announcement from the hospital.
