Fired for staying at home

I was just fired from my "essential " job even though I have a letter saying if we didn't feel safe we didn't have to go. I have a 2 month old daughter and a 5 year old. I didnt fell like it was worth endangering my family for the small check we were getting because our hours were cut. Is there anything I can do about it I still have the letter if it helps.
