Film Lovers/Houstononians – Friends of River Oaks Theatre asks us to Take Action
I just happened to learn about this org after finding a flyer at the local bike shop. Wanted to spread the word on what they recommend to the general public if they are interested in preserving the theatre. I am copying and pasting the text from their page below, Take Action (saveriveroakstheatre.org)
I'm a Houston native and grew up going to Greenway and to the River Oaks Theatre to watch all the indie gems. For anyone else that appreciates and wants theatres like this to exist in our city I think it's worth a shot to reach out! Houston, one of the largest cities in the country, deserves/needs spaces like these.
