Filing a report: hit and run

Hello! I was in a hit and run downtown around 6pm yesterday. They ran a red light. We are fine thankfully but they hit my tire.. left some scuffs but overall got really lucky and seems like it’s driving fine. Didn’t call the cops at the time bc we were fine and the damage was really minimal but I would still like to file something bc the person took off without ever stopping and who tf does that?! We know what intersection it was at so we’re hoping the cameras can pull something.

The info I find online isn’t clear. Anyone know how to file a report for this or been through it before?
