FA WR options for Texans (realistic)
I realize everyone is going to throw out Devante Adams and others as FA nears. But with our cap and number of holes, someone that big is highly unlikely (not impossible) to end up here.
Assuming we get a WR in the draft, some of the top interesting budget choices are.
-
Demarcus Robinson : Budget friendly. Played in Nick Carley’s offense last year and had some explosive games.
-
Christian Kirk : mid sized payday coming. A 1 yr deal with a stud QB could boost his numbers and get him a massive deal in 2026. Might be a good move for him.
-
Tyler Lockett : Does he have the same explosiveness? Not sure, but a speedster needs to swing for the long term contract before he loses a step, so may be a tough sell here.
-
Tyler Boyd : He was a solid WR3 for the Bengals and disappeared last year on a terrible Titans offense behind Calvin Ridley. Not a lot of $, so low risk with medium reward potential.
Who are you realistically looking at for WR2?
