Explain the pickups for me please…

So if someone puts on their signal to change lanes and a guy in his pickup truck slams on the gas to cut you off then slams the brakes and starts flapping his arms all over as though you did something wrong……how is it the woman in the passenger seat does not backhand him across the face? My grandma or mom would have gone full WWE.
