Estate Sale Company?

Does anybody have experience with using an estate sales company in the northeast Houston area? Do you think it was worthwhile versus donating items? I’m asking for a friend who needs to get rid of parents’ stuff no longer in use and doesn’t know where to start. It’s a lot of stuff since their parents were borderline hoarders. There’s plenty of festive holiday decorations, everyday decor items, unused school and craft supplies, and old but nice clothes (e.g., leather or suede jacket) – to name a few.
