Energy Provider Pickle

Alright folks, I searched for a similar situation but couldn't find anything matching. My current contract expires on June 28th so I signed up for a new contract with a different provider today. During the sign up process the "standard" transfer timeline said seven days, so I chose that. However, I received an email a few hours later that the service had been transferred. I also received an email from my current provider about early termination. Is the next step to cancel the new service since I'm within the three day window and sign up again day-of?
