Endocrinologist open to prescribing Ozempic (or similar) for weight loss

Hi All-

I have a long history of struggling with weight as well as some strong hormonal imbalances due to PCOS. I’m wanting to visit an endocrinologist soon to get a better understanding of what all may be occurring in my body, including some options for significant weight loss needed.

I know it’s been a hot topic lately about doctors prescribing Ozempic (FDA approved as only a diabetes drug) for weight loss. But I also know some doctors are more hesitant to prescribe for this reason.

I’m not saying this is the answer to my needs, but I’d love to visit an endocrinologist who is at least open to this as option to really discuss it and find out if it makes sense for my situation.

Has anyone had experience with a dr (preferably an endocrinologist) who may fit the bill in this category?

I’m in West Houston but will go anywhere in the greater Houston area
