Empty NRG

Like everyone else, I always notice the stadium is relatively empty on game days. I went to our home opener versus the Colts and the crowd was pretty lame. I bought tickets through the team ticket dealer so I paid $240 with no tax to sit on the home side in section 511 (nice seats, near the top). But, I couldn’t help but notice prices when looking at tickets for the Saints game. Tickets in the 100 section are starting at $300. Granted I know these are really nice seats but let’s say you wanted to take someone with you to the game. You’re looking at close to $700 before you’ve arrived at the stadium. After food/drinks/parking (no merchandise) you’re looking at a $1,000 dollar day at NRG. Now I’m not strapped for cash but I still can’t fathom spending that kind of money for 3 hours of a Sunday afternoon. Am I out of touch or do these prices seem a little crazy? Maybe that’s why our home field advantage is nonexistent.. or maybe I’m cheap. Opinions welcome!
