Emo/Alt Hangout Spots?

I know Houston doesn’t have a big alternative scene anymore, but I wanted to double check that I wasn’t missing any general hang out spots or places to find dates. I know most of the venues that host goth, hardcore, punk, etc music like Numbers, TripSixx, Oje Man, Whiteswan, White Oak, but I was more so looking for spaces outside of shows. I haven’t had much luck making new friends at shows themselves since most people are just there for the bands. Haven’t had much luck with emo nights either like at Barbs or Secret Group. I’m just wanting to expand on making more real life friends than online. Hot Topic and Spencers, well malls in general, aren’t what they used to be when it comes to meeting fellow emo/scene people either.
