Emergency Veterinarian in North Houston/Spring

As title states, we have a vet emergency situation and our usual vet is booked and cannot see us on short notice. Does anyone have a recommendation for an emergency urgent care vet facility that they have personal experience with that is equipped to handle actual emergencies?

Last time we used an emergency vet, they overcharged us and said "we're not the animals usual vet so we can't prescribe any medicine" and basically cost $400 to be told "something's wrong, yes."
