Electronics to Jury Duty

I'm aware that electronics are prohibited in the actual courtrooms, but use in the waiting rooms can vary by state/county. Are kindles/iPads/laptops allowed for Harris County duty in the waiting rooms? I just want to confirm before bringing or leaving out anything I'd have liked to have with me for a potentially long day.
