Electric company extending contract before expiration?
Hi all, last year I signed up for a 12 month electric contract with CleanSky energy that was set to end 8/5/25. Knowing the term was ending soon, I began to go to look for other providers. But when I logged on to my CleanSky portal, it know says my “12-month term” ends on 9/14/25. I haven’t received any communication from them apart from monthly bills.
Looking back at my monthly bills, my June bill said the termination date was 8/5/25, but my July bill now says the termination date is 9/14/25. I am confused as to why it’s being randomly extended for a month…my online portal shows the rates will be the same. Has this happened to anyone else?
The only thing I can think of is that my EFL says they are supposed to give me at least 30 days notice before my term expires, and they have not done so.
