Dubón and Meyers discourse?

I’ve been seeing some stuff on twitter about how the only reason why dubon played during the game on Friday was because he’s verlanders personal CF. I personally like dubon more than Meyer but was wondering what’s y’all’s take on this? Like is Jake meyers just significantly better than dubon that I’m not seeing or what? Like stats wise dubon is better than Meyers in batting AVG, RBI’s, OPS, and dubon leads the MLB in RISP and won a golden glove last season. Personally I love dubon and want to see him start in every game but I want y’all’s opinion on this matter.
