Drove down to Galveston today.
It’s as if the pandemic is over. Bars packed shoulder to shoulder, the beach literally covered in people. I’m trying so hard to maintain my “you do you as long as it doesn’t f**k me over” attitude toward people, but when I see people not wearing masks just blatantly acting with no regard for the health of others around them, I have to resist my intense New Yorker urge to call them out. Holy s**t y’all. I totally understand needing to get out of the house and calculating your comfort level with risk… but this is going to get so much worse before it even starts to get better.
Edit for clarification- I was out driving to quell cabin fever and drove along the Seawall. Didn’t leave my car.
