Driving Safety Course for Insurance Question

I had completed a Driving Safety Course to get rid of a ticket. I heard you can send the Certificate of Completion to your insurance to get a discount as well. However, on my insurance copy of the certificate, it shows "Reason: Traffic Ticket." Should I send the copy to my insurance company to get the discount or will the "reason" backfire and increase my rate?
