Drive thru testing site asking for picture of ID to send to phone number?

I don’t know if this question is allowed in the main thread, but was wondering if anyone has had a drive thru site ask for a photo of your ID to be sent to a phone number so they may match name and birth date to the tube name and date? I thought it was kinda weird, but I know CVS and Walgreens also ask for ID. Is this normal?
