Downtown this week events and more

Howdy Texans!!!! I am in town for work staying this week out by NASA and will be working downtown and I wanted to know what are the best bars and restaurants you recommend for an out of towner I dont like mexican foood too much but cold drinks and any good southern food makes me cry tears of joy thank you southerners!
